Normally when I go to have a look at that persons roses I find the following.
- Their roses does not get enough sun. It must be between 5 and 6 hours a day.
- The roses does not get enough water. They need at least 20 liters of water a week. And watering must not be after three in the afternoon. Wet leaves during the night causes black spot.
- They are planted too close to big trees that invade the rose bed and "steal" all the nutrients. Roses don't like competition.
- They don't enough flowers. Nutrition. You must feed your roses at least once a month (during the growing season) with a handful of 8:1:5 or any other fertilizer to accomplish multiple flowering
If your roses are suffering one of these problems, attend to it and you will see them bloom for nine months of the year.
If you have a problem with your roses email me at : aromarose@telkomsa.net or visit my website at www.aromaroses.weebly.com
