I cannot wait for Spring 2011. I can already see signs of life coming back into the soil. Small sprouts are already showing in spite of the harsh winter we have this year.
To come back to Five Roses, named after a famous tea brand in South Africa, I guess. It's an easy rose to grow and it blooms the nine months of summer we have in South Africa. It keeps it's colour right through it's blooming period. It's a nice cutting rose too.
If you ever get to a nursery and see "Five Roses" on sale, you can feel free to buy it. It will give you much joy through it's lifetime.
I've planted a few of them and plan to plant more. The rose have a slight smell, but the beauty of it makes up for that.
In the southern hemisphere it is time to prune. You can take a peek at my website: aromaroses.weebly.com. to find out more about pruning. If you want to find out how to care for your roses you can visit my website at : http://www.careforyourroses.com.
Until next time.
Bennie
