My nursery at the beginning of spring 2011

Things are a little bit better now.  I've sorted out most of the roses.  And these, that you see here, are ready to be sold.  At this stage you will find lots of aphids feeding on the young growth.  Don't spray them with insecticide.  Just use a strong spray of water to remove them.  I try to spray insecticide as little as possible.  It's the growing season therefore the young plant need a lots of "food".  You can give a handful of 8:1:5 to each bush or a cap of Vigorosa.
(from Ludwig's).  And remember to water them after you gave them "food", otherwise you will burn the leaves. Be careful not to throw the fertilizer too close to the stem.  It can burn the stem and cause the rose to die.  Remember to water twice a week with at least 20 liters of water to every rose. Now is the time to stand back and enjoy the October flush.
